Fire Performance at Source!

Body Art by Nick Wolfe for Illusion Magazine

Now we all know that we can’t have a “Great Expression” without the great expressive quality of Fire!  Just hot off the presses (no pun intended) I’m publishing the first info on the fire performances and fire installations at Source: The Great Expression.  Bryan Axtell is the go-to fire safety guy on all fire dancers and fire installations and he will soon have a Fire blog up for more specific information attached to the website.  If you have any questions as a fire dancer or fire installation artist please contact him at: 808-344-9846. You can email him at: Brythefireguy@ yahoo.com as well.

However, here are some general points to make:

Fire performers:  There will be two confirmed fire shows so far that he is cooking up.  One is the Community Creation Conclave that will perform right before the main burn on Saturday night.  All fire dancers whether in a specific show or not have to register at the fire station that will be set up when they first arrive. Even if you just plan to free style; you must register with the fire station for safety and organization’s sake.  The fire station will be the source of all safe fire fuel storage and the site of all fire workshops.  Anyone interested in performing in the Community Creation Conclave will be organized by Bryan and Blaze that weekend for the Saturday Burn.

Sunday Night: Merkabah will do a pre-show ceremonial fire show before the Temple Burn. More info later.

Fire Installations: Big Fire Burns are like performances!  They need to be scheduled and properly prepared for.  If you are planning a Fire Art piece besides the Saturday Burn and Sunday Temple Burn please contact Bryan no later than 3 weeks before the Source event.  Otherwise we cannot schedule it for safety and space reasons.

Please keep the lines of communication open and thereby doing so we can produce everyone’s vision properly.
